- - Various Emulators - -
Well, I thought I'd put a list of emulators together in my spare time. I'll list them by game system
NOTE: I'm not listing EVERY game systems emulators, only the ones that are used most often.
- - NDS (Nintendo DS) Emulators - -
#1 - NDSRom
http://www.ndsromplayer.net/download-ndsrom-player
With this emulator, you can just search for your games and play, it's simple and easy to use. When you've searched for the game you want, a list will appear, you click the game that is on the list, and click 'PLAY' in the top left hand corner of the screen.
Overall; THE best NDS emulator you're gonna get.
#2 - DeSmuME
http://www.ndsemulator.com/nintendo-ds/desmume.htm
This is just an ordinary emulator, but it's one of the best ones out there. You need to download ROMs for this one, like you do with all the other emulators. A good website for NDS ROMs would be this website:
http://www.rom-freaks.net/nds-roms-0-desc-name-.html
#3 - NDS iDeaS
http://www.ndsemulator.com/nintendo-ds/ideas.htm
Good emulator for DS, however, it's just about the same as the DeSmuME emulator, but DeSmuME runs a bit faster for me, and has more features. Use the previous site I suggested to get ROMs for this emulator, as well.
Okay, that's the top three NDS emulators, let's move on.
- - GameCube Emulators - -
#1 - GCEmu
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gamecube/gcemu.html
This is a cool emulator, I love it, I always use this one for my GameCube games.
If you download any of the emulators I list, I suggest using this one. :)
Once again, it's pretty much the same as the last two NDS emulators, just download ROMs for it and play.
#2 - WhineCube
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gamecube/whinecube.html
Not much to say about this one, it's quite literally the same as the previous, just looks cool.
#3 - GCube
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gamecube/gcube.html
Not much to say about this one, it's quite literally the same as the previous, just looks cool.
- - Gameboy color/advance emulators - -
the reason it says 'Gameboy color/advance emulators' is 'cause you can use GBC ROMs with a GBA emulator. :)
#1 - VisualBoyAdvance
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gba/vboyadvance.html
This is the best GBA emulator you will come across, it's super fast, doesn't lag at all and it even has a speed button which speeds up the game when you hold it down. (I train my pokemon super fast using that. ;]) I suggest using this emulator out of the three, it's fuckin' amazing.
#2 - Botcott Advance
It's a good emulator, no way does it live up to the VisualBoyAdvance, though. If you want a decent emulator, download this, if you want an excellent one, download VBA. ;]
#3 - NoGBA
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gba/nocashgba.html
This emulator doesn't support GBC games, but does support Wii. Pretty much the same as the previous ones except for the 2 previously stated facts.
- - Nintendo 64 Emulators - -
#1 - Project 64
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/project64.html
THE best nintendo 64 emulator around, it runs a lot better than the others and has some extra features.
#2 - 1964
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/1964.html
In the same league as Project 64, or in other words, it's GOOD.
#3 - UltraHLE
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/ultrahle.html
The legnedary N64 emulator, sadly it's not updated anymore since its release.
An excellent website for ROMs would be: www.rom-freaks.net
To open a ROM, click File > Open ROM: while the emulator is running and look for the ROM you downloaded, click open and your game will play.
These are the emulators I've been asked most about, so don't blame me if there isn't one you like on there.
Just send me a PM asking me for an emulator and I'll add it to the list.
+rep if you like this and it helped you. Comment. That's all I ask of you. :)
There is also these ported or working for the Mac.
